Freelance UX/UI Designer
I’m Gideon Asamoah, 24 years old, born and raised in the Netherlands but my roots lies in Ghana. I’m currently in my last year of my bachelor studying Communication and Multimedia Design at The Hague university of Applied Science.
I used to do media development in the past. Since I came from community college I had some experience with web design by following internships in different web agencies. More recently I’ve been honing my skills in UX/UI design and overall digital design.
During my internships I worked with small teams where an idea had to be created from scratch, but also larger development teams with product lifecycles that would span for multiple years.
I’ve recently reached the finish line in my study and I’m passionate about starting my own company in the future called Junas Labs. I’m looking forward to learn more and develop myself into the career that I want to pursue. Any related question? Feel free to contact me!

Project: KIVI – 2021
This project was my graduation project for KIVI. It was about the community from KIVI. They wanted to find out a way to bring new members to the community site. I’ve designed a tool that would help people stay on the website.
Fit Jam (re-design) – 2021
At the start of 2020 I did an exchange program in South Korea. I’ve spend half a year living the Korean lifestyle. But most importantly, I did classes related to my mayor. I’ve learned to make a solo UX design project from scratch working with Adobe XD. See the result of the first version here
Project DRIN – 2020
This project was a solo project for the DRIN. I’ve reached out to them about an interaction design related problem they have. In this case, they came with a new feature for their new website. Users should be able to share and read robotics related projects.
Justice in the Digital Society – 2019
In my time at the Digital Society school, I’ve learned a lot about working in a coordinated team of 4 different professions. This was my first step into learning how it is to work as an independent UX-designer.
